As the largest European conference on simulation in production and logistics, the ASIM conference – which bears the same name – provides an overview of future trends, current developments, and successful projects every two years. It features presentations and discussions of both scientific research and real-world industrial applications.

The event offers an ideal platform for exchange between academia and industry. Its focus is on the applications of simulation, as well as current research and developments in methods and software solutions. Workshops, tutorials, and the accompanying program also provide opportunities for in-depth discussions and the personal exchange of experiences.

Contributions can be submitted in German or English. Papers from the fields of research and education are given equal weight alongside reports on industrial applications. The accompanying exhibition, featuring software vendors and service providers from the simulation industry, complements the conference program and provides an opportunity to discuss the latest solutions and technologies.

The conference addresses current topics in simulation across the entire life cycle of production and logistics systems. Given a constantly changing operating environment, issues related to resource efficiency and resilience are becoming increasingly important. Simulation plays a crucial role in analyzing complex interrelationships, making informed decisions, and actively shaping change. We would like to explore this key role of simulation together with you – particularly in conjunction with methods of visualization, optimization, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Kassel, the city of the world-famous art exhibition documenta, is located in the heart of Germany. With its central location and status as a major industrial and logistics hub, it offers the ideal setting for the ASIM conference in 2027. The region is home to companies in the mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, logistics, and medical technology sectors. In conjunction with the academic and business communities, we aim to combine these strengths with the scientific expertise of the University of Kassel to create a venue where current developments in simulation can be discussed, new partnerships forged, and joint ideas for the production and logistics of tomorrow developed.
