Call for Contributions and Participation to the ASIM Track
ASIM invites all members to participate and contribute to EUROSIM 2026. ASIM provides a special track and has arranged reduced conference fees for members and their interested colleagues.
ASIM Track at EUROSIM 2026: ASIM – Developments in Simulation Technique
The track is dedicated to contributions from the ASIM community. ASIM is the largest simulation society in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and EUROSIM’s biggest member society.
We invite contributions from practically any simulation and modeling paradigm (discrete-event, continuous, agent-based, hybrid, etc.) to foster an intensive, specific, and cross-disciplinary exchange of experiences about modeling and simulation. In order to integrate also recent developments in simulation technique, this track invites not only for Full Contributions (published in the Conference Proceedings), but also for Discussions Contributions without publication, or with Short Note Publication in EUROSIM/ASIMs scientific membership journal SNE – Simulation Notes Europe.
Track topics:
Fundamentals, methods, and tools of modeling and simulation
Areas of application:
- Natural sciences, engineering sciences, and computer science
- Production and logistics
- Biological, environmental, and geosciences, climate and ecosystem models
- Training and education
Track Co-Chairs:
Oliver Rose, University of the Bundeswehr Munich, Neubiberg, Germany, oliver.rose@unibw.de
Sigrid Wenzel, Universität Kassel, Germany, sigrid.wenzel@uni-kassel.de
Andreas Körner, TU Wien, Vienna, Austria, andreas.koerner@asc.tuwien.ac.at
Track presentation date:
It is intended to schedule all presentations for Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Contributions:
- Full Contribution, with publication in Elsevier Procedia Computer Science (details below) and oral presentation (presence or virtual), submission with (full) regular conference template and indication ‘ASIM Track – Developments in Simulation Technique’ (submission deadline May 10, 2026, full conference review)
- Discussion Contribution, with oral presentation (presence or virtual, standard length)
- with Short Note Publication in SNE – Simulation Notes Europe after the conference
(details below), submission with regular conference template using maximal 3 pages, and indication ‘ASIM Track – Developments in Simulation Technique’ (submission deadline end of May, short ASIM/SNE review) - or without publication, submission with regular conference template writing only the abstract, and indication ‘ASIM Track – Developments in Simulation Technique’ (submission deadline end of May, short ASIM/SNE review)
- with Short Note Publication in SNE – Simulation Notes Europe after the conference
Participation & Fees:
ASIM members get a reduction of € 55 on the conference fee, e.g. Physical Participation € 495 € 550 , or Virtual Participation € 255 € 310 . At registration please enter a special code in the “discount” field. The code is provided after login in your ASIM “Mitgliederbereich”. For further regulations, VAT, and conditions see the conference webpage EUROSIM2026.
The (physical and virtual) EUROSIM ASIM Track participation entitles for participation in all EUROSIM and I3M sessions, and for submission and presentation of one Full Contribution and one Discussion Contribution for the ASIM Track. Physical Participation with I3M Participation entitles for an Additional Full Contribution for an EUROSIM or I3M session.
Publications:
Proceedings Publications of Full Contributions: The EUROSIM26 Conference Proceedings will be published as a dedicated issue of the Elsevier Procedia Computer Science (CiteScore: 4.0). Procedia Computer Science is Open Access and indexed in Scopus, thus providing maximum exposure for your work. For authors publishing in Procedia Computer Science, accepted manuscript will be governed by CC BY-NC-ND license.
SNE Publication of Discussion Contributions: Discussion Contributions to ASIM Track(s) at EUROSIM 2026 are published as Short Note in SNE, ASIM’s and EUROSIM’s scientific membership journal, either in special issues, or consecutively in regular issues as post-conference publications. Accepted contributions for SNE will be governed by CC BY license.
